ASME is a 127,000 member professional organization focused on the technical, educational and research issues and needs of the engineering and technology communities. We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial Corporate Development Manager to join our Customer Sales & Service team in our Fairfield, NJ office. The Corporate Development Manager will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities and generating new clients for ASMEs in-company and distance learning training programs within the corporate and government markets. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing sales strategies, managing new and existing corporate business opportunities, prospecting efforts, sales process and pipeline management. Will provide company vision and mission to the marketplace and collaborate with new product development activities supported by market demand and strategic planning.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess a bachelors degree or equivalent experience, and at least 5 years of successful consultative, business to business selling experience. Experience selling to key decision makers, along with the ability to probe and identify customer needs while building rapport and credibility a must. Must have experience selling training programs to the corporate market place. Should have strong negotiating and sales closing/advancement skills. Must have outstanding communication and presentation skills.
